Dennis Owen's quote in South China Morning Post

Club member Dennis Owen recently passed this on to his club mates:

South China Morning Post (Circulation / Reach: 100,004) 2011-07-01
" The stories of the volunteering works of 38 Cathay Pacific Airways employees are told in a book entitled Flying High with 38 Hearts of Gold. Many of the 38 were at the book's launch at Cosmos Books, Wan Chai, on Wednesday. Dennis Owen, from Cathay North America marketing, told of the orphans he and his wife saw in Vietnam when they adopted 10 years ago. I remember walking around the orphanage ... and wondered about the ones that wouldn't be adopted. He has been a volunteer in Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia and China. Flight attendant Lilian Chan, who worked at mainland orphanages, said the book was about spreading the spirit of volunteering."

Dennis said "I mean this quite sincerely. The reason I got quoted in Hong Kong newspaper out of 31 people in this book on volunteering was because I knew how to open my talk and grab people's attention. All thx to Toastmasters!"
